Evie Fabricant is an educator and artist based in Oakland, who strives to nurture the creative, intellectual, and social emotional development of children. She completed a major in Studio Art at Oberlin College, and loves using her love of art as a tool to connect with young children. Evie has spent the past few years cultivating her skills as a teacher in both public and private school settings. She has experience in special education as a classroom aide, and recently helped launch an expanded after school program at Berkwood Hedge. Her background as a member of the special education staff at Fruitvale Elementary School in Oakland has given her a deep sense of respect for individual learning styles, and a commitment to honoring the complex emotional lives of children. Evie is a passionate gardener and biker, and loves to bring her knowledge of plants into the classroom.
