Parent Involvement

Getting to work with these amazing families….people really get to know you as a real person whether you’re a teacher, a parent, or a student. -Debra Wong, LMG Teacher

At Walden, parents are involved throughout the school every day. While every family works at least fifty hours as part of their work commitment, we find that most people don’t stop there and want more ways to be involved with Walden’s vibrant and diverse community. There are opportunities to fit every schedule and skill-set and Walden thrives as a result of an active parent body. Here are just a few ways parents can participate:

  • Drivers and chaperones on field trips
  • Volunteers in the classroom and on campus
  • Support for performances, including the Upper Group Play
  • Performers at our Gala, Spring Fair, or Winter Frolic
  • Quiltmakers of our annual Community Quilt
  • Participation on committees:
    • Walden Parents Association
    • Walden Fundraising Committee
    • Diversity and Respect For All Committees
