Lee Price (they/them), Middle Group

Lee Price is an artist, educator, and plant medicine worker born and raised on Nanticoke-Lenape and Piscataway-Conoy lands (Washington, DC). They have 12 years experience as a youth-worker, both inside and outside of traditional classroom settings—working primarily in DC Public Schools and NYC Public Schools.

Much of their time in the field of education has been spent assisting young people in learning how to become stronger and more engaged readers and writers; how to tend to their relationships with themselves and others in their communities; and how to advocate for themselves and their unique needs. In addition to work as an educator, Lee is an illustrator, photographer, textile-worker, and herbalist.

Most recently, Lee worked as artist-educator, instructing elementary, middle, and high school-aged students in various art forms in Baltimore City schools. They look forward to joining the Walden community and getting to know the learners, families, and teachers who keep this community vibrant and thriving.
