Middle Group (2nd – 3rd Grade)
Jonathan’s teaching experience began in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District with transitional housing center classrooms. His passion for connecting with underserved youth then lead him to provide for other Bay Area and Los Angeles schools over the years including Oakland, Richmond, Palmdale/Lancaster. Throughout his teaching career, Jonathan has instructed at Walden in various roles such as core curriculum, art and music, as well as serving as an intervention specialist.
With his degree in Sociology from San Francisco State University, Jonathan employs a humanitarian perspective to his teaching style, which calls for an emphasis in compassion, connection and collaboration in the classroom. He also enjoys discovering new forms of art and creativity..
