UPPER GROUP
Alix Feinsod joined Walden as the Upper Group Math and Science teacher in 2022 after teaching middle school in a small K-8 school, and before that she taught elementary ages at various public and independent schools in the Bay Area. This will be her 6th year in education. She studied Math and Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz, then earned her Masters in Education and Multi-Subject Teaching Credential through BATTI, the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute. Alix is a Walden alumnus (class of 2006) who spent time after graduating as a volunteer at Walden, providing childcare for events and helping with Upper Group plays. Alix brings her passions for theater, the arts, justice and inclusion, and the outdoors to the classroom. She says, “I am delighted to return to Walden as a teacher – it’s truly like coming home.”
